As a community-based, nonprofit hospice, Hospice of Dubuque is committed to providing our programs and services regardless of financial status. All gifts made to Hospice of Dubuque remain in our tri-state community and help provide care for persons unable to pay. Gifts also support the many unfunded programs and services we offer.
Hospice of Dubuque is recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Gifts to Hospice of Dubuque are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law.
One-Time Donation: Your gift to Hospice of Dubuque allows us to provide our services to anyone who needs them. Your donation can be made by phone, in person, by mail, or online.
Memorials/Honorariums (Tribute Gift): While every gift to Hospice of Dubuque is important and meaningful, memorials and honorariums are a special tribute to loved ones. The person remembered or honored is listed in our quarterly newsletter unless we are directed to exclude the person’s name. If requested, Hospice of Dubuque will also notify the person’s family of your gift.

Recurring Donation: Supporting Hospice of Dubuque through our giving program is a great way to invest in hospice and palliative care and spread your generosity over the course of a year, thus creating a continuous impact. Estate Planning and Legacy Giving: Planned giving, also known as legacy giving, is a donation made by someone through a will, trust, or other estate-related designation. These gifts are typically prepared by a financial planner or attorney. There are many options for planned giving including bequests, gifts of life insurance, stock gifts, and donor-advised funds.
In-Kind Gifts: Hospice of Dubuque appreciates in-kind gift items. If you would like to donate in-kind gifts, please call 563.582.1220. Please remember that we may not be able to receive all in-kind gifts that are offered.
Donations in Lieu of Gifts: Many families choose to honor a special event such as a birthday, anniversary, or wedding by suggesting guests donate to Hospice of Dubuque in lieu of gifts. If requested, Hospice of Dubuque will send thank you notes to acknowledge each gift. Upon request, you will receive notice of all the gifts received by Hospice of Dubuque.
Matching Gifts: Different companies have Matching Gifts that could double your support to Hospice of Dubuque.
